Entrance: Praise, My Soul

Praise, my soul, the King of heaven;

To his feet your tribute bring;

Ransomed, healed, restored, forgiven,

Evermore his praises sing:

Praise him! Praise him! Praise him! Praise him!

Praise the everlasting King.

Praise him for his grace and favour

To his people in distress;

Praise him still the same as ever,

Slow to chide, and swift to bless:

Praise him! Praise him! Praise him! Praise him!

Glorious in his faithfulness.

Gloria: (Liam Lawton)

Refrain:

Glory to God in the highest, and peace to God's people on earth.

Glory to God in the highest, and peace to God's people on earth.

Speak O Lord, your servant here is listening.

You have the message of eternal life.

Speak O Lord, your servant here is listening.

You have the message of eternal life.

Repeat Refrain.

Where can I discover the wellsprings of your love?

Is my searching and seeking in vain?

How can I recover the beauty of your word?

In the silence I call out your name.

Refrain.

Where can I find shelter to shield me from the storm,

to find comfort, though dark be the night?

For I know that my welfare is ever in your sight.

In the shadows I long for your light.

Refrain.

Recessional Hymn: (Fill Our Hearts) (Air: Ode to Joy)

Fill your hearts with joy and gladness,

sing and praise your God and mine!

Great the Lord in love and wisdom,

might and majesty divine!

He who framed the starry heavens

knows and names them as they shine,

Fill your hearts with joy and gladness,

sing and praise your God and mine!

Praise the Lord for times and seasons,

cloud and sunshine, wind and rain;

spring to melt the snows of winter,

till the waters flow again;

grass upon the mountain pastures,

golden valleys thick with grain.

Praise the Lord for times and seasons,

cloud and sunshine, wind and rain.

Comhghairdeas arís!

Go raibh míle, míle maith agaibh araon.

on the occasion of the presentation to them of the

prestigious Benemerenti papal medals

for their outstanding contribution to church music

and choirs for almost thirty years (1978-2007)

A message of thanksgiving from our beloved parish priest, Fr. Pádraig Daly:

Since our first days as a Parish, we have been enriched by the musical gifts of Kevin Hallahan and Joseph Johnston. For this reason the priests of the parish, together with the Parish Pastoral Council, wish to say thanks. To express our gratitude, we requested Archbishop Martin to seek Benemerenti awards for Kevin and Joe. These awards come from the Holy Father and are given to Catholics who have given outstanding service to the Church. In honouring Kevin and Joe, we are honouring all our Choir Members and the many others who have contributed musically to our worship over the years. Kevin and Joe join our sacristan, Kate Little, in being so honoured.

We thank them both for their work in making our liturgies better and brighter and more prayerful. We are grateful for their dedication and love. This award is an earthly one. We pray that God Himself may reward them hereafter.

Our special thanks today are due to Bishop Éamonn Walsh for his kindness in coming to confer the Benemerenti awards.

The medals will be conferred by Rev. Dr. Éamonn Walsh,

Titular Bishop of Elmham and Auxiliary Bishop of Dublin .

Offertory: (Amazing Grace)

Instrumental: Beth Bradshaw and Claire Clifford

Singing: Solo Verse: Jade Nolan, Harmony: Both Choirs

Amazing grace! How sweet the sound

that saved a wretch like me.

I once was lost, but now I'm found;

was blind, but now I see.

‘Twas grace that taught my heart to fear,

and grace my fears relieved.

How precious did that grace appear

The hour I first believed.

Holy, Holy: (Is Naofa Thú)

(The Parish Choir & Scoil Mhuire Choir)

Is Naofa thú, is Naofa thú, a Thiarna Dia na slua.

Tá Neamh agus talamh lán de do ghlóir. Hosanna ‘sna harda.

Hosanna, Hosanna, Hosanna ‘sna harda.

Is beannaithe an té atá ag teacht in ainm an Tiarna.

Hosanna, Hosanna, Hosanna ‘sna harda.

Acclamation: (He Is Lord)

He is Lord. He is Lord. He is risen from the dead and He is Lord.

Every knee shall bow, every tongue confess, that Jesus Christ is Lord.

Amen 563: Amen, Amen, Amen.

Our Father: (Estelle White)

Lamb of God: (Liam Lawton)

Lamb of God, you take away the sins of the world,

have mercy on us (x 2)

Lamb of God, you take away the sins of the world,

Grant us your peace, grant us your peace.

Communion Hymn: ( Hiding Place – Liam Lawton)

( verses solo: Anne Hallahan and Paula Carroll)
