Welcome
Welcome to the website of the Parish of Ballyboden. We hope you will find the information and guidance you are seeking on our parish and its services. The website provides general information on the parish and on the Augustinians who minister here. The Weekly Sunday Message (newsletter) gives updates on current events. Details are provided on Church services, including Mass times and on the other sacraments. Many visit the site regularly to read and reflect on the Sunday and Daily scripture readings for Mass, and for the prayers to Our Lady of Good Counsel, to whom the parish is dedicated. Many parishioners participate voluntarily in a range of Church related groups and activities which greatly help to make for a warm, dedicated, vibrant parish community. Details on these are also provided and we urge you to consider getting involved. We are always keen to improve and develop the Website. So if you discover that necessary information is missing, or needs to be updated, please let us know through our email address: This email address is being protected from spambots. As we are on the world wide web, we welcome visitors to the site not only from Ballyboden but from countries all over the world to where many parishioners have moved. We hope the website will be of assistance in keeping in touch with developments in your home parish..

Parish Mission Statement
Parish, for us, is a community of believers in Jesus, open and welcoming, using our various gifts and talents to nurture and promote truth, justice, love and peace and to experience and advance the Kingdom of God.
This ideal will be realized through: prayer, belonging, commitment, teamwork, integrity, sharing, inclusion.
In the words of St Augustine:
In essential things, unity.
In doubtful things, liberty,
In all things, charity
